The Sr. Manager, Strategy will report to the Sr. Director, Strategy, and is responsible for supporting the development of the overall global corporate strategy as well working on key strategic initiatives to drive company results. The Sr Manager will be responsible for driving critical strategic analyses, preparing communications about the strategy, and working cross-functionally while building the strategy and tracking its execution. The Strategy group also serves as an internal consulting function and the incumbent will be required to drive to successful conclusion of high-priority projects for the company’s leadership team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Sr. Director to develop and execute an annual strategic plan and roadmap aimed at driving growth and creating shareholder value.
Support the Sr. Director to develop strategy documentation for the Board, Senior Leadership Team, and all DigitalGlobe team members.
Track changes in the competitive landscape and report to key leadership
Work cross-functionally to ensure that strategy is consistent with key corporate processes, e.g., financial planning, corporate development, sales and program management.
Support, communicate, and reinforce the Purpose, Vision and Values and culture of the organization.
Support ongoing, timely assessments of how well the company is executing against the strategy and roadmap to ensure the company is on track to deliver against them.
Conduct research and analysis on customer segments, target markets, technology trends, competition, etc.
Drive field research, e.g., customer insight, industry events, and competitor benchmarking.
Provide structured and analytically rigorous thinking and solutions to specific business challenges.

Ability to assess and prioritize strategic opportunities through rigorous and efficient analysis.
Strong quantitative analysis and critical reasoning skills to solve complex business problems.

Can work autonomously, but also escalates concerns to supervisor as appropriate.
As necessary, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DigitalGlobe's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities can include: planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; training and mentoring junior employees.
BS/BA degree required
Minimum 7-10+ years of experience with at least 2-4 years of experience with a top-tier management consulting firm.
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience in technology environment.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead corporate initiatives.
Must be a US citizen.
Experience in a corporate strategy group.
Experience developing growth strategy a plus; experience growing markets in new geographies, verticals, and adjacencies.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to learn industries quickly.
