Responsibilities

  • Lead standard Agile team ceremonies including daily standup, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.

  • Provide Servant Leadership to the team via communication, mentorship, interactions with train leadership, etc.

  • Ensure the team meets delivery commitments by protecting from external distractions, managing dependencies, removing blockers, and partnering with the Product Owner on how the team brings in new work.

  • Represent the team at train and enterprise activities including release planning, Scrum of Scrums, Communities of Practice, train retrospectives

  • Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and results, drive continuous improvement, and bring others together to reconcile differences.

  • Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.

  • Support one DevOps engineering team (Scrum), and one operational support team (Kanban).

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a scum master using Agile and SAFe methodologies

  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments

  • Passion around facilitation, empowerment, and servant leadership

  • Tremendous organization and communication skills

  • Experienced with and within Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP teams

  • Knowledge of sound Agile engineering practices (TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, etc.)

  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – Master’s Degree Preferred.

  • Desired degrees: Geography, Geographic information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Geosciences, Remote Sensing, Cartography, Photogrammetry, or a related field.
