Serves as the customer's advocate within DigitalGlobe. Coordinates with other departments to resolve complex customer issues. Excellent working knowledge

of order management systems. Shift work may be required.


Answer inbound email and phone communications.

Processes orders and prepares quotations and feasibilities.

Prepares basic reports.

Performs Image Archive searches.

Assists customers with shapefile creation/conversion/AOI definition.

Routes complex customer and technical issues based on established procedures.

Performs initial and intermediate problem investigation, & diagnosis, escalating to Tier 2 support organizations, as necessary.

Verify that incident is not considered to be a known problem, make initial decision as to whether incident should be reclassified as a problem.

Manage Known Problem Database and Knowledge Repository.

Ability to provide on call support, as necessary, including evenings and weekends.

Ability to work on public holidays and weekends occasionally.

Job Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience; 10-plus years of experience preferred

  • Fluent English written and verbal skills

  • Fluent Mandarin verbal skills desired

  • Sales and Customer facing experience

  • Remote sensing and Image processing experience

  • Technical Skills - Able to multi-task in a Windows operating environment; Able to enter orders and customer information accurately using SAP; Use basic GIS skills to process shapefiles, analyze order geography and make decisions to benefit customers

  • Technical Aptitude & Experience – candidate must have demonstrated strong technical abilities and aptitude. Experience with supporting online platforms desired

  • Experiences in processing, using, and serving both raster and vector map data

  • Experiences with GIS/RS Software and Systems

  • Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Delights the customer

  • Excellent listening, comprehension & interpersonal skills

  • Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings

  • Detail oriented

  • Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Experience with MS Office, Word, and Excel software packages

  • Experience with ARCGIS and SAP applications a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • GIS educational or professional background a strong plus
